Thania Sanz is a songwriter, guitarist, band leader and music producer from LA now established in Miami. Graduated from Berklee College of Music in Vocal Performance, Thania has been working as a professional musician for 25 years. As a lyricist she has worked with Roy Orbison as well as Billy Joel; she has toured with Tito Puente All Stars to Japan and Jazz Festival around the world, to write Jazz Music Lyrics with Joe Zawinul Syndicated. As a producer she has worked with television Azteca and Univision Telemundo writing jingles and show themes. She also has written, recorded, and produced 5 albums of her own material.

As a background session vocalist she has work in albums for Placido Domingo, Luis Miguel, Marta Sanchez, and the Disney Company. She leads her own quartet Tropical Soul Project and preforms in many places around South Florida. But in Thania’s words, “the best part is teaching for 15 years now; it has opened my heart and mind to another dimension. Teaching keeps me on target and humble. Sharing the gift of music with feelings and dreams in one lesson with my students keeps mine alive and vibrant ! That is what is needed to keep moving forward successfully! And the plus is to see them smile! And Flourish!”
