Anastasia Chubb is a four-time DownBeat Magazine Award-winning vocalist, pianist, and educator based in Miami, FL. Originally from Kent, England, she relocated to Kalamazoo, Michigan, at the age of six, where her musical journey began. Ana holds a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Voice Performance from Western Michigan University and is currently completing her Master’s degree in Jazz Voice Performance at the University of Miami.
With a deep admiration for music in all its forms, Ana is particularly dedicated to developing healthy vocal technique and a strong foundation in music theory. Her love for music was first ignited through classical piano lessons, and she initially trained as a classical vocalist before discovering her passion for jazz. Immersing herself in the vibrant vocal jazz community, she found purpose and inspiration in the genre’s expressive freedom and intricate harmonies.
Throughout her career, Ana has had the opportunity to perform with renowned artists such as Linda Fischer, Patti Allen, and the Grammy-winning vocal group New York Voices. As both a performer and educator, she continues to inspire others by sharing her knowledge, fostering artistic growth, and exploring the intersection of technique, creativity, and emotional expression in music.
